最近重新翻閱了由羅勃特·清崎（Robert Kiyosaki）所著的《富爸爸，窮爸爸》（Rich Dad Poor Dad）。書中將高學歷卻只留下帳單的窮爸爸做對比，倡導「讓錢為你工作」的財務思維。
每當讀到這裡，我總會想起自己在倫敦留學的那段時光。那時我常搭乘紅色雙層公車上學，不只因為學生卡免費能省下交通費，更因為坐在車上，可以透過大車窗曬曬太陽、欣賞街角的小店，看到喜歡的景緻就隨時下車探索。
那座城市展現了極大的包容性，甚至連生活陷入困境的人，都帶著一種獨特的優雅——為什麼連當個流浪漢，都可以那麼開心且有禮貌地要錢？就算要不到，最後還會笑著祝你：「Have a good day, lady.」英國人似乎即使身處困難之中，也總能保持著一種讓人哭笑不得的幽默與禮貌。
那份從容，成了我人生中最美好的回憶之一。
而最讓我震撼的，是大眾運輸工具上幾乎人手一本書的專注；街角書店的展示櫃精緻得令人讚嘆，每一次經過，都覺得「人生似乎又美好了起來」。
倫敦，是真正培養我利用時間閱讀習慣的城市。
從中國再回到台灣創業後，我曾以為在英國修讀的企管學位阻礙了我過去敢衝敢拼的個性，讓我一度陷在紙上談兵、反覆計算風險與成敗的框架裡。但我必須說，那個學位與閱讀習慣，給了我開闊的視野、嚴謹的邏輯與極高的自律。賺錢是一回事，但如果人的思想只有賺錢，未免太過空洞。閱讀讓我的心靈富足，無論創業路上遇到什麼樣的巨浪與挫折，我總能從書本裡找回平靜——這是單純追求財富永遠無法給予的沉澱。
創立「可潔家事」，從來就不完全只是為了賺錢。

不可否認，創業給了我極大的成長與養分。這幾年下來，從財務上的靈活管理與資金運用、嚴謹的營運風險控管，到建立一套完善的客戶服務體系與員工訓練流程，每一個環節都讓我將所學扎實地落存在現實中。
面對各種難纏的狀況與突發危機，我也曾無數次在深夜問自己：「我怎麼會選擇了一行又髒又容易被忽視、甚至被人貶低的行業？

經歷了許多碰撞後我才明白：要如何讓大家對這個行業產生尊重？其實跟行業本身無關，而是取決於你是否尊重自己的專業，以及你選擇了什麼樣的客戶。
讀書給了我看待世界的眼光，而創業給了我在現實中扎根的骨氣。就像當年倫敦街頭那些在困境中依然保有禮貌與幽默的人們一樣，我也學會了在創業的風浪中優雅挺立。
賺錢是維持營運的手段，但讀書、生活與傳遞溫暖，才是我們堅持至今的靈魂。最讓我感激的是，創立了可潔家事，讓我從過去在中國必須表現強悍的管理方式中逐漸慢下來、靜下來。這份事業讓我變得更柔和，也更能深深體諒每一個人工作背後的辛苦與不易。
這條路或許不容易，但我依然感激這一切的磨練，因為它讓我成為了一個更有厚度的人。
On a Red Double-Decker Bus in London, I Found the Soul of KJ Clean
I recently re-read Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. The book contrasts a highly educated “Poor Dad”—who left behind nothing but unpaid bills—with a “Rich Dad,” advocating the financial mindset of making money work for you.
Every time I read this, I am reminded of my time studying in London. Back then, I took the red double-decker bus to school almost every day—not just because my student pass gave me free rides, but because sitting on that bus allowed me to soak up the sun through the large windows, admire small neighborhood shops, and hop off whenever a scenery caught my eye.
The city possessed incredible inclusivity, where even those facing life’s greatest hardships carried a unique kind of grace. How could even a homeless person be so cheerful and polite when asking for spare change, and even if you had nothing to give, still part with a warm smile and say, “Have a good day, lady”? The British seem to maintain a sense of humor and politeness even in the face of adversity that leaves you amused and deeply touched—a quiet composure that became one of the fondest memories of my life.
What struck me even more was seeing people almost everywhere—on the tube and buses—holding a book. The window displays of London’s bookstores were curated so exquisitely that every time I walked past one, I couldn’t help but feel: Life is beautiful again.

After returning to Taiwan to launch my business, I once felt that my MBA from the UK had hampered the raw drive and hustle I used to have, trapping me in theoretical calculations of risk, profit, and loss. But I must say, that degree and the habit of reading gave me broader horizons, logical discipline, and a high level of self-control. Making money is one thing, but if a person’s mind revolves solely around money, life feels hollow. Reading enriches my mind. No matter what challenges arise in my entrepreneurial journey, I can always find peace within the pages of a book—a sense of quiet resilience that the mere pursuit of wealth can never provide.

Facing unexpected crises and challenging moments, I’ve asked myself in the dead of night: “Why did I choose an industry that is dirty, overlooked, or even looked down upon by some?”
Through many trials, I finally came to realize: How do we earn respect for this industry? It has nothing to do with the trade itself, but everything to do with whether you respect your own craft—and the kind of clients you choose to serve.
Reading gave me a lens to see the world, while entrepreneurship gave me the backbone to stand firm in reality. Just like those people on the streets of London who maintained their grace, humor, and politeness amidst difficulty, I have learned to stand tall with poise through the storms of running a business.
Making money is the means to sustain our operations, but reading, living, and passing on warmth are the soul of what we do. Above all, I am deeply grateful for founding KJ Clean—it allowed me to step away from the fierce, aggressive management style I once had to maintain in China, teaching me to slow down, stay calm, and become more gentle, while gaining a profound empathy for the quiet hard work behind every person’s hustle.
The road may not always be easy, but I am deeply grateful for every challenge, for they have sculpted me into a person of greater depth and strength.
